Scatacook Vice Chief of Program

Responsibilities:

  • As first Vice Chief, presides in the absence of the Chief.
  • Responsible for the activities and events of the chapter.
  • Responsible for the chapter representatives to program committees.
  • Succeeds the Chief in the event that the Chief cannot complete their term.

The Chapter Vice Chief of Program (VCP) is responsible for helping to plan and coordinate the activities of the chapter.  The VCP should work with the other members of the chapter to help ensure a successful program, and they should not take on all of the work themself.  When planning events, the following should be considered

  1. Participation – Members of the chapter need something to do in order to stay interested, have fun, and to have the future of the chapter to be better than its current state.
  2. Service – Being a service organization, the chapter is committed to serving both the district as well as the surrounding community.
  3. Communication – This is more of the VCA’s job, but it is important for events to be communicated throughout the lodge so that every member has the chance to attend.  Using the Troop Representative for each unit is a great method.

The VCP is responsible for coordinating chapter events such as the LAN Party, Game Nights, and activation events
