Scatacook Chapter Chief


Responsibilities:

  • Presides over the chapter and all of its activities and meetings.
  • Responsible for the proper functioning and successful operation of the chapter.
  • Appoints chapter representatives to each of the operating committees.
  • Acts as representative of the chapter to the Lodge Executive Committee

This position will oversee the chapter, develop their officer group, and appoint any ad-hoc committee chairmen they need to help make their term a success. The chapter meetings take place at the same time as the district roundtable meetings. During the roundtable, the Chief will provide an update on what the chapter has been doing, short term goal progress, and offering support to the district and units. This individual should have an agenda for each chapter meeting that has input from their Vice Chief’s and adviser. The Chief should also promote the meetings and events to encourage arrowmen to attend.

The Chief is expected to work with their Vice Chiefs to develop  the annual program of the Chapter. They are expected to have the chapter meeting agenda for the next Chapter meeting ready by the preceding Lodge Executive committee meeting, at which point it will be discussed with the Chapter Adviser for input.

The Chief is expected to work with the Vice Chief of Program to develop the activities of the chapter.

The Chief is expected to work with the Vice Chief of Inductions ensure the annual unit visitations  have been scheduled and completed  and provide any assistance in ensuring the Chapter meets its goal of 100% unit visitation.

The Chief is expected to work with the Vice Chief of Administration to ensure any mailings, communications, and other administrative responsibilities are taken care of.

The Chief is expected to attend all chapter meetings, chapter events, lodge executive committee meetings, and lodge events. While representing the chapter, they should wear the complete Class A uniform correctly.
